Authors use tct for locus symbol tct1.
  • Experiment
A t-haplotype derived from t6/th20 carries a deletion that covers the Itpr3tf locus, so that th20/Itpr3tf animals show the tuffed phenotype. Authors tested th20/th20 mice for the presence or absence of the t-specific band for Pim1. It is shown that th20/th20 mice have the same restriction pattern as it's parantal t-haplotype, t6, indicating that the Pim1 locus is not covered by the th20 deletion. Futhermore, authors report that tw12 maps outside of this deletion since th20/tw12 animals are viable. These data indicate that Pim1 maps centromeric to tw12 on mouse Chromosome 17.
