Notes
  • Reference
Authors use p63 for locus symbol Tcp1.
  • Experiment
Author used two-dimentional electrophoresis with complementation analysis to show that Tcp1 expression is linked to the t complex on mouse Chromosome 17. This analysis used recombinant t-haplotype chromosomes to show that tw82/tw82 expressed one allelic form of Tcp1 (p63/6.9a) while t<h17/+ mice expressed a second allelic form (p63/6.9b). These data shows that the expression of an allelic form of Tcp1 (p63.6.9) correlated with the presence of the tail interaction factor of t haplotypes and Tcp1 does not map in the lethal factors of the t haplotypes. Additionally, authors note that Tcp1 is not expressed in Chromosomes carrying the Thp haplotype, suggesting that Tcp1 may map within the region deleted in the Thphaplotype.
