Notes
  • Experiment
Deletion mapping of the F1 progeny from two interspecific crosses, C57BL/6J-Ph x M. spretus and C57BL/6J-W19h x M. spretus, revealed that D5Buc1 maps outside the W19h and Ph deletions; D5Mnl25, Kit and Flk1 are deleted in the W19h but not the Ph chromosome while Pdgfra is deleted on both the W19h and Ph chromosomes. One other locus, D5Buc3, maps within the Ph deletion but D5Buc2 maps outside the deletion. Pulse Field Gel Electrophoresis (PFGE) confirmed that D5Buc2 maps 50kb proximal to the Ph deletion breakpoint.
