    Using liver DNAs from C3HeB/FeJ-W19H/+ mice, the W19H Chromosome 5 deletion was shown to include the Pdgfra locus. This deletion covers 2-4 cM of Chromosome 5 and includes the Kit locus. DNA from the patch mutant (Ph) Ph/+ mice also indicated a deletion of Pdgfra, suggesting that the Ph mutation may itself involve a deletion in Chromosome 5.
