Notes
  • Experiment
Tp(Y)1Ct, commonly called Sxr, is a second functional copy of the sex determining region, including a spermatogenesis gene and Hya, that has been transposed to the pseudoautosomal region of the Y Chromosome. Sxr' is a variant of Sxr lacking the duplicated spermatogenesis gene and Hya. Sxr" was derived from Sxr and has regained Hya. Southern analysis demonstrated that Zfy1 is present in all three Sxr variants and that Zfy2 is present in Sxr, absent in Sxr' and regained in Sxr".
