Experiment

Five congenic strains, B6.PL(75NS)/Cy, B6.PL(85NS)/Cy, C.C58-Ly-3a, C.AKR-Ly-3a and B6.RF-Ly2,3a were typed for Rn7s-6 using Southern blots probed with cDNA pA6. No recombinants were detected between Ly-2, 3, Rn7s-6, Igk-V28 and Igk-Ef2 in 4 of these strains representing 64 backcross generations. A recombination was detected between Ly-2,3 and Rn7s-6 in B6.PL(85NS)/Cy at generation N26 or N27 placing Rn7s-6 between Ly-2,3 and Igk-V28.
