    Somatic cell hybrids were Chinese hamster cell line E36 x mouse BALB/c spleen cells, and Chinese hamster cell line Dona3 x mouse F1 (Peru x B10129) spleen cells. Mouse chromosome complement determined by karyotype and isozyme analysis. In hybrid EBS-18 Chromosome 15 carries a F3-ter deletion, but this hybrid is positive for Ela1, thus placing the gene proximal to band F3.
