Experiment

Somatic cell hybrids were constructed using Chinese hamster line E36 and mouse cell lines. One hybrid line, CeC contained the distal 2/3 of Chromosome 6 translocated onto the X Chromosome and was negative for mouse Tcrb indicating that Tcrb is on proximal Chromosome 6.
