Notes
  • Experiment
A locus named Hye (Hya expression) on mouse Chromosome 17 affects expression of the male-specific H-Y antigen. Analysis of (B10.T-H2y2/(6R) x C3H/Di)F1 hybrids outcrossed to B10.A(5R) or B10.D2 animals showed that the Hye locus is more closely linked to the t complex (4.02 cM) than the H2 complex (23 cM). Parental strains B10.T-H2y2/(6R) and B10.A(5R) exhibit high H-Y expression whereas parental strains C3H/Di and B10.D2 exhibit low H-Y expression.
