• Experiment
  Southern analysis was used to physically map markers Arhay-ps1. Arhay-ps2, and Arhay-ps3 to mouse Chromosome Y. The order of loci is presented as: telomere - Zfy1 - Ube1y1 - Arhay-ps2 - Jarid1d - Uty - Tspy-ps - Arhay-ps1 - Zfy2 - centromere. Arhay-ps3 was placed outside of the Sxr^b deletion (the interval between Zfy1 and Zfy2) but within the Sxr^a region and may be either telomeric or centromeric to the above loci. Arhay-ps2 is said to be located in the 35kb interval between the 3' end of Ube1y1 and the5' end of Smcy. Arhay-ps1, Arhay-ps2 and Arhay-ps3 all showed male specific hybridization on Southern blots of EcoRI digested DNA.
