  In a personal communication, the authors reported that the 3' end of the mouse Slc12a4 locus overlaps the 5' upstream sequence of the Lcat gene previously mapped to mouse Chromosome 8. A similar association has been reported for the human homologs of these loci (Gillen et al. J Biol Chem 1996 Jul 5;271 (27):16237-16244).
