| Caption | Generation of the Sqstm1tm2.1Jmos (floxed allele (-)) allele. Schematic representation of Sqstm1 locus organization and targeting strategy. A loxP site was inserted upstream of exon 1. An FRT-flanked neo cassette with a 3' loxP site was inserted downstream of exon 1. Flp-mediated recombination removed the neo cassette and left exon 1 floxed generating the Sqstm1tm2.1Jmos allele. Cre-mediated recombination can be used to delete exon 1 conditionally. Exons are indicated by black boxes. | ||||
