Caption Schematic of the Gemtm1Jgun and Gemtm1.1Jgun alleles. A) Loxp sites were introduced on either side of exon 2 of the Gem gene, generating the Gemtm1Jgun allele. Deletion of exon 2 via Cre-mediated recombination generates the Gemtm1.1Jgun allele. Deletion of exon 2 was confirmed by PCR and Southern blotting.
