Toluidine staining of tibia growth plates derived from 1, 4 and 12 week old wild type (wt) and Spred2^Gt(XB228)Byg/Spred2^Gt(XB228)Byg (ko) littermates. Measurement of growth plate thickness is marked below each figure. All stages of mutant mice demonstrate a narrower growth plate, especially with a reduction of the hypertrophic chondrocyte zone, compared with wild type controls. wk, week(s); *, p<0.05; n=4 mice for each time point.
