GO curators for mouse genes have assigned the following annotations to the gene product of Pitpnm3. (This text reflects annotations as of Wednesday, January 23, 2013.) MGI curation of this mouse gene is considered complete, including annotations derived from the biomedical literature as of February 2, 2010. If you know of any additional information regarding this mouse gene please let us know. Please supply mouse gene symbol and a PubMed ID.Summary from NCBI RefSeq
[Summary is not available for the mouse gene. This summary is for the human ortholog.] This gene encodes a member of a family of membrane-associated phosphatidylinositol transfer domain-containing proteins. The calcium-binding protein has phosphatidylinositol (PI) transfer activity and interacts with the protein tyrosine kinase PTK2B (also known as PYK2). The protein is homologous to a Drosophila protein that is implicated in the visual transduction pathway in flies. Mutations in this gene result in autosomal dominant cone dystrophy. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.[provided by RefSeq, Sep 2009]Summary text based on GO annotations supported by structural data
Annotations directly to for the gene Pitpnm3 indicate that MGI curators have found no experimental data [literature] to support further annotation to these categories at this time.
