Definition: A brain sarcoma that is composed of malignant pleomorphic or spindle neoplastic cells typically demonstrating myogenic and/or chondroid differentiation. Cytoplasmic eosinophilic globules and myxoid stroma formation are usually present. It is associated with mutations in the DICER1 gene.
