Parent Cell Line:  E14TG2a (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  129P2/OlaHsd
Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion, Nucleotide substitutions

Mutation detailsA floxed PGK-neomycin resistance cassette deleted exon 2 and placed a silent mutation in exon 7. Cre-mediated recombination in vivo removed the neo cassette in the germ line. The authors predict that this allele would produce a correctly spliced protein that lacks 65 amino acids, almost the entire globular domain of the N-propeptide. (J:73906)
