• the number of Ki67+ cells in the subventricular zone is increased
• however, no difference in the number of CD24+ ependymal cells
• the number of neural stem cells in the subventricular zone region is decreased
• number of neural DCX+ neuroblasts is increased in the subventricular zone of 8-week-old mice
• stemness of neural stem cells is decreased in the subventricular zone
