• however, excitatory synapse density is normal in CA1 pyramidal neurons and the number of GABA+ presynaptic boutons is normal
• lower firing rate of dentate granule neurons
• however, CA1 pyramidal neurons exhibit normal firing rates
• however, maximal response is normal
• small decrease in evoked excitatory synaptic transmission
• in dentate gyrus granule cells
• reduced amplitude with increased frequency in dentate gyrus granule cells
• however, miniature miniature inhibitory postsynaptic current frequency and amplitude are normal
• faster depression of evoked EPSC amplitude
