• mice exhibit deficits in contextual fear conditioning
• mice exhibit impaired fear memory in 24 hour contextual memory test at multiple time points as compared to control, however, mice exhibit normal cued fear conditioning during tone presentation and have a normal short term memory fear response
• mice exhibit similar fear response between two similar but different contexts, in contrast, controls freeze more in the original (shock) context than in the similar context
