vision/eye
• retinal vasculitis and perivasculitis in some mice aged 12 months or more
• inflammation is largely confined to the posterior segment of the eye
• the vitreous and the optic disk are infiltrated by inflammatory cells and this is frequently associated with inflammation in the arachnoid of the optic nerve and in the choroid
• cells containing pigment are present in the subretinal space forming clusters located under retinal folds
• some mice aged 12 months or more develop spontaneous, typically bilateral retinopathy
• retinal folds
• local detachments are frequently seen in mice aged 12 months or more
