endocrine/exocrine glands
• stromal hypercellularity in the prostate
• mice develop prostatic hyperplasia in the lateral and ventral prostates as early as 2-3 months of age and in other lobes between 6 and 16 months of age (J:78918)
• papillary hyperplasia is seen around 16 months of age in ventral, lateral and dorsal prostates but not in the anterior prostate (J:78918)
(J:106650)
• dysplasia, or low-grade prostatic intraepithelial neoplasia is detected beginning at 5-7 months of age (J:78918)
• 100% of males exhibit multifocal epithelial hyperplasia during the first 14 months and 35% have areas of low-grade prostatic intraepithelial neoplasia (J:78918)
• by 15-24 months of age, 66% of mice have low-grade prostatic intraepithelial neoplasia and 51% of mice have high-grade prostatic intraepithelial neoplasia (J:78918)
• mutants display prostate hyperplasia and PIN but do not progress to adenocarcinoma (J:106650)
• chronic inflammation is seen in the prostrate starting at 5 months of age, mostly involving T cells

• mild chronic inflammation is seen in the stroma of the ductus deferens, seminal vesicle and epididymis in some males
