• at P2, neurons exhibit a depolarized resting membrane potentials, reduced firing threshold, and increased input resistance compared with wild-type neurons
• at P2, the interval between resting potential and firing threshold is compressed compared to in wild-type neurons
• at P2, steady state potassium ion current under voltage clamp at -20mV is reduced and neurons require less current to achieve a given spike frequency compared to in similarly treated wild-type neurons
• at 8 to 9 weeks of age, the interval between resting potential and threshold is compressed and maximal firing rate is reduced compared to in wild-type neurons
