• lin - kit+ Sca-1+ progenitor cells isolated from the bone marrow of mice treated with tamoxifen produce 20- to 40- fold more B cells than controls when cultured under condition supporting lymphopoiesis
• lin- kit+ Sca-1+ progenitor cells isolated from the bone marrow of mice treated with tamoxifen produce 10-fold lower percentages and numbers of myeloid lineage cells in vitro than controls
• however, normal number of myeloid cells are produced from myeloid progenitor cells
