N normal phenotype
growth/size/body
• at three weeks of age, homozygous mutant mice are significantly smaller than their littermates

behavior/neurological
• mice homozygous for this mutation exhibit a tremor of variable severity
• mutant mice, some as young as 3 months of age, develop a hunched posture
• the tremor is often accompanied by stiff and deliberate hindfoot placement during locomotion, particularly in older mutants
• although both male and female homozygotes are fertile, mutant males do not breed
• homozygous mutant females are able to breed

integument
• the coats of mutant mice, some as young as 3 months of age, become dull and lack-luster
