mortality/aging
• appreciable mortality seen by 2 weeks of age (J:13134)
• viability of mutant offspring from homozygous females is low (J:30767)

skeleton
• mutant pups have broken leg and other bone fractures
• fostering pups does not ameliorate bone fragility

integument
• obvious after 5 weeks of age
• due to progressive degeneration of all hair follicles
• Background Sensitivity: hair loss may be total or partial but permanent
• there is a progressive degeneration of all hair follicles resulting in partial but permanent hair loss or entire hair loss
• Background Sensitivity: hair-loss condition is classifiable between 5 and 8 weeks of age

cellular
• young of homozygous females are more severely affected and show higher mortlity rate
