hematopoietic system
• a small reduction in the percentage of CD8+ T cells in lymph nodes and spleens
• in contrast to the published reports of autoimmune disease in C57BL/6 and BALB/c Pdcd1 -/- mice, no changes were observed for body weight, organ weight, hematology, clinical chemistry, and macroscopic or microscopic findings as compared to wild-type mice
• mice live over 1 year of age, consistent with the lack of obvious pathology

immune system
• a small reduction in the percentage of CD8+ T cells in lymph nodes and spleens
• in contrast to the published reports of autoimmune disease in C57BL/6 and BALB/c Pdcd1 -/- mice, no changes were observed for body weight, organ weight, hematology, clinical chemistry, and macroscopic or microscopic findings as compared to wild-type mice
• mice live over 1 year of age, consistent with the lack of obvious pathology
• in experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis model induced by injection of myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein, lymph node cells from immunized mutant mice produce higher amounts of pro-inflammatory cytokines
• developed more severe EAE than the wild-type controls
• exhibited an increased incidence of EAE in most experiments
