• however, long tern depression (LTD) and long term potential (LTP) are normal in young mice (LTD, 77+/-5% of baseline compared to 85+/-3% of baseline; LTP, 138+/-9% of baseline compared to 149+/-12% of baseline for wild-type mice) and synaptic transmission are normal in adult mice
