cellular
• T cell egress from the thymus and immature B cell egress from the BM is impaired
• T and B cells showed delayed egress from lymphoid organs

hematopoietic system
• T cell egress from the thymus and immature B cell egress from the BM is impaired
• T and B cells showed delayed egress from lymphoid organs
• reduction in the total leukocyte count, to 43% of the level in littermate controls
• number of cells was decreased in all leukocyte subsets examined, except for the Gr-1+ monocyte subset
• in lymph nodes but not in spleen

homeostasis/metabolism
• weight loss and increased mortality of male mutant mice is seen upon treatment with bleomycin
• severe lung injury upon bleomycin treatment is seen in male mutant mice compared with controls

immune system
• T cell egress from the thymus and immature B cell egress from the BM is impaired
• T and B cells showed delayed egress from lymphoid organs
• reduction in the total leukocyte count, to 43% of the level in littermate controls
• number of cells was decreased in all leukocyte subsets examined, except for the Gr-1+ monocyte subset
• in lymph nodes but not in spleen

respiratory system
• a significant increase in the size of the distal alveoli is seen in male mutant mice compared with controls
• the air spaces of untreated adult male mutant mice are markedly enlarged, without signs of inflammation or alveolar destruction

normal phenotype
• mice develop normally and are fertile
• no obvious histological abnormalities are seen
• function of platelets, fibroblasts and mast cells appears similar to controls
