immune system
• following chloroquine treatment
• mice are described as being mast cell deficient
• after second infestation to ticks, mice fail to exhibit resistance (repletion) unlike similarly treated wild-type mice
• however, transfer of wild-type bone marrow restores repletion

pigmentation
• the coat is white except for small patches on or near the ears and, infrequently, at the base of the tail

behavior/neurological
• mice exhibit reduced chloroquine-induced scratching compared with similarly treated wild-type mice

hematopoietic system
• following chloroquine treatment
• on this background, lower than normal mean hematocrit values were found but did not manifest as an anemia
• mice are described as being mast cell deficient

integument
• the coat is white except for small patches on or near the ears and, infrequently, at the base of the tail

cellular
• following chloroquine treatment
