• numbers of naive CD44lowCD4+ T cells in blood and spleen are reduced by 84-93%
• mice show a 22% reduction in swelling of oxazolone-challenged ear, indicating impaired contact hypersensitivity responses, however the ability of DC to induce allogeneic T cell proliferation in vitro is normal
