mortality/aging
• in an E. coli sepsis model, LECT2 treatment of mice do not exhibit as much of a rescue of lethality as in wild-type mice
• however, mice receiving LECT2-treated wild-type macrophages exhibit improved survival in an E. coli sepsis model

homeostasis/metabolism
• treatment with LECT2 does not rescue E. coli sepsis-induced lethality as well as in wild-type mice
• transfer of macrophages treated with LECT2 do not exhibit reduction in peritoneum and blood bacterial burden as when LECT2-treated wild-type macrophages are transferred
• however, mice receiving LECT2-treated wild-type macrophages exhibit improved survival in an E. coli sepsis model
• in an E. coli sepsis model, LECT2 treatment of mice do not exhibit as much of a rescue of lethality as in wild-type mice
• however, mice receiving LECT2-treated wild-type macrophages exhibit improved survival in an E. coli sepsis model

immune system
N
• LECT2 treatment has no effect on phagocytosis, bacterial killing, G-CSF and C3 secretion from macrophages
