cellular
• primary fibroblasts have a defect in contact-mediated cell cycle arrest with cells reaching a density 1.5-fold greater than controls
• 20% more epithelial cells are actively proliferating in the colon epithelium

digestive/alimentary system
• 20% more epithelial cells are actively proliferating in the colon epithelium
• crypt lengths are significantly increased in mice

limbs/digits/tail
• there is a 20% increase in the thickness of the epidermis located in the plantar region of the paw
• the number of proliferating cells in the paw epidermis is increased two-fold compared to controls

hematopoietic system
• spleens have up to a four-fold increase in erythroid progenitors
• bone marrow contains about 30% more erythroid progenitors
• in mice treated with phenylhydrazine, there are 20% more erythroid progenitors in the spleen than wild-type mice two days after injection
• hematocrit is slightly but significantly increased from 52.8% to 56.5%
• in mice treated with phenylhydrazine, hematocrit levels recover after 5 days compared to 7 days for wild-type controls

endocrine/exocrine glands
• crypt lengths are significantly increased in mice

integument
• there is a 20% increase in the thickness of the epidermis located in the plantar region of the paw
