mortality/aging
• with special care and feeding, homozygotes may survive until older than two months; otherwise, some die as young as 4 weeks of age

behavior/neurological
• body tremor is apparent by approximately 12 days
• from about 5 weeks of age, mutant mice keep their hindlimbs splayed
• from approximately 5 weeks of age, mutant mice exhibit intermittent spasms affecting one or both hind- or forelimbs, the head, neck, shoulder and forelimb region, or the entire body; in the last case, the mouse must lie on its side

growth/size/body
• obvious by approximately 12 days; both body and internal organs of a 57 day-old homozygous mouse were found on pathological examination to be small and immature

muscle
• from approximately 5 weeks of age, mutant mice exhibit intermittent spasms affecting one or both hind- or forelimbs, the head, neck, shoulder and forelimb region, or the entire body; in the last case, the mouse must lie on its side

reproductive system
N
• homozygous females may be able to "breed" only via transplantation of their ovaries to other hosts, however males are fertile

nervous system
• from approximately 5 weeks of age, mutant mice exhibit intermittent spasms affecting one or both hind- or forelimbs, the head, neck, shoulder and forelimb region, or the entire body; in the last case, the mouse must lie on its side
