• the total number of cells in the spleen is decreased
• IgA mean concentration is decreased to 25% of wild-type
• IgG1, IgG2a, IgG2b, and IgG3 mean concentrations are decreased to 31%, 5%, 33%, and 4% of wild-type, respectively
• mutants fail to increase IgG1, IgG3 in response to antigen stimulation
• IgM levels are increased 5 fold in mutants
