• mature CD3+T cells fail to mobilize similar intracellular calcium levels compared to wild-type in response to CD3 crosslinking, however calcium responses stimulated by calcium-ionophore remain intact
• reduction in TCR-induced NFAT activation in T lymphocytes
• TCR-driven production of IP3 is partially diminished in T cells
• mature T cells do not proliferate well in response to TCR stimulation (anti-CD3 or anti-CD3/anti-CD28 stimuli)
• the T cell proliferation defect is restored by treatment with PDBu plus calcium ionophore
• IL-2 secretion is reduced in T cells in response to TCR stimulation (anti-CD3 or anti-CD3/anti-CD28 stimuli)
