Transgene
description
Transgene Type:    Transgenic (Inserted expressed sequence, Reporter)
Mutation:    Insertion

Tg(Myc/TFP)#Mtor expresses 1 gene

Mutation detailsMouse chr15 BAC RP24-78D24, which contains the Myc gene (as well as the 5' end of the Pvt1 gene), was modified through the insertion of the TFP (turquoise fluorescent protein) gene in-frame with the start of the Myc gene coding region in exon 2. Copy number analysis and whole genome sequencing revealed that two copies of the transgene inserted into chr15, downstream of the endogenous Myc gene: the first copy has a 35 kb deletion in the 3' end of the BAC (containing putative regulatory regions), the second copy is complete. The two copies are separated by 306 kb of chr19 sequence, duplicated from a location around GRCm39:chr19:42,000,000. (J:348281)
