description
Transgene Type:    Transgenic (Inserted expressed sequence)
Mutation:    Insertion

Tg(TAGLN-Mgp*)#Murs expresses 1 gene

Tg(TAGLN-Mgp*)#Murs expression driven by 1 gene

Mutation detailsThe transgene insert contains the following elements: 3 kb TAGLN gene proximal promoter sequence, mutated mouse Mgp cDNA and SV40 poly(A) signal sequences. The mutations involve changing glutamic acid codons 21, 60, 67 and 71 (GAA, GAA, GAG, GAG) to alanaine (GCA, GCA, GCG, GCG) (c.62A>C, c.179A>C, c.200A>C, c.212A>C, p.E21A, p.E60A, p.E67A, p.E71A), which prevents gamma-carboxylation of these residues in the encoded peptide.
