Transgene
description
Transgene Type:    Transgenic (Reporter)
Mutation:    Insertion

Mutation detailsThe transgene contains a ~120 kb B1 repeat deletion subfragment of ~485 kb C3H YAC ICRFy903F1113. The YAC contains the entire Gata3 gene plus upstream and downstream regulatory regions and was modified by inserting a lacZ beta-galactosidase reporter gene cassette immediately downstream of (in-frame with) the Gata3 ATG start site. The reporter gene is expressed in many but not all tissues that normally express Gata3 during embryonic development. Seventeen mouse lines were established. (J:51930)
