description
Transgene Type:    Transgenic (Conditional ready, Inserted expressed sequence)
Mutation:    Insertion

Mutation detailsThe transgene insert consists of BAC clone RP24-348O11 where the Thy1 cDNA coding region and SV40 poly(A) signal sequence were inserted into Ifng exon 1 immediately downstream of the ATG start site (replacing the remainder of the exon 1 coding region), upstream Ifng cis-control region CNS-22 (Rr32) was flanked by loxP sites, and an FRT site flanked kanamycin resistance gene cassette was inserted between Rr32 and Ifng. The kana cassette was removed through subsequent flp-mediated recombination. (J:116207)
