description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout, Reporter)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsThe targeting vector PG00089_Y_3_F01 from KOMP was was electroporated into ES cells. The construct is composed of an FRT site followed by lacZ sequence and a loxP site. This first loxP site is followed by a neomycin resistance gene under the control of the human beta-actin promoter, SV40 polyA, a second FRT site and a second loxP site. A third loxP site is inserted downstream of the targeted exons 12-16 at position 103382899. The critical exons 12-16 are thus flanked by loxP sites. Cre-mediated recombination deleted exons 12-16 and the neomycin resistance gene. (J:314432)
