Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Endonuclease-mediated (Modified isoform(s))
Mutation:    Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsUsing CRISPR/Cas9 technology, two bases, GG, was deleted in the first exon of the alpha isoform of Dmkn (exon 16) in the fertilized egg from the cross between homozygous Dmkntm1.1Hase male and C57BL/6 female. The resulted mouse line contains deleted exon 1 of the Dmkn shared by the beta and gamma isoforms and deletion of two bases in the first exon of the alpha isoform of Dmkn (exon 16) resulting in an inability to express alpha, beta, and gamma isoforms of the Dmkn.
