The resulted mouse line contains deleted exon 1 of the Dmkn shared by the beta and gamma isoforms and deletion of two bases in the first exon of the alpha isoform of Dmkn (exon 16) resulting in an inability to express alpha, beta, and gamma isoforms of the Dmkn.
