Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Conditional ready)
Mutation:    Insertion

Mutation detailsBy homologous recombination in ES cells, a loxP site was inserted into the mouse Rgs3 gene at intron1 and another loxP followed by a phospho-glycerate kinase-1-neo-bpA cassette flanked by FRT was inserted into intron 5. The resulted allele has Rgs3 gene exon 2 through exon 5 coding for PDZ domain flanked by loxP followed by a FRT flanked neo selection cassette. The neo cassette was removed by crossing with Flpe expressing mice. The presence of the neomycin cassette did not appear to affect the phenotype. (J:299414)
