Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Endonuclease-mediated (Humanized sequence, Null/knockout, Reporter)
Mutation:    Insertion

Mutation detailsCRISPR/Cas9 technology inserted the full-length human ACE2 cDNA, IRES, and tdTomato gene into exon 2 of the mouse gene. Western blot analysis confirmed strong expression of the human gene in lung and kidney and very weak expression in spleen and liver, a similar expression patter to the mouse protein. PCR confirmed the absence of the mouse gene. (J:288243)
