description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Conditional ready, Modified isoform(s))
Mutation:    Insertion

Mutation detailsThe targeting vector was constructed by inserting translation stop codon TAATAA into exon 2 which results in stop of translation of exon 2 therefore deleting the Ig1 domain and inserting loxP and FRT-neo-FRT-loxP cassette into exon 3 upstream and downstream, respectively. Western blot analysis indicates that only the NP55 isoform and not the NP66 isoform is expressed in the forebrain of homozygous mice. (J:276256)
