Mutation details: Flp-mediated recombination of the parental Acantm1a(EUCOMM)Hmgu allele excised the splice acceptor-lacZ reporter sequence and the neomycin selection cassette from the third intron, leaving the critical exon 4 flanked by loxP sites. Exposure to Cre recombinase will delete exon 4, resulting in a null mutation.
