Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsLoxP sites were inserted into intron 15 and 16 and glutamic acid codon 446 (GAA) in exon 16 was changed to glutamine (CAA) (p.E446Q). This mutation is expected to disrupt the protein activity. The kanamycin-neomycin resistance gene cassette that was inserted into intron 15 was removed through subsequent Flp-mediated recombination. Cre-mediated recombination removed modified exon 16. (J:243488)
