• Mutation details: A loxP site was inserted into intron 40 and a second loxP site and an FRT site flanked neomycin resistance gene cassette was inserted into intron 41. The neo cassette was found to interfer with transcription from this locus, giving rise to a knockout-like phenotype. It was subsequently removed through flp-mediated recombination in the embryonic stem cells. This creates a conditional-ready allele with exon 41 floxed (exon numbering as in transcript model CCDS40219.1). (J:242077)
