Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsThis allele was derived from Fcamrtm1Sjv by Cre recombinase-mediated deletion of a loxP-flanked DNA segment containing exon 4 and a FRT site-flanked selection cassette. Quantitative reverse transcription-PCR (qRT-PCR) analysis of total kidney RNA from homozygous mutant vs. wild-type mice demonstrated that the mutant RNA is present at ~45% of the wild-type level. These mice express a soluble form of the receptor that does not compete effectively in vitro with the native, membrane-bound receptor for binding to IgM monoclonal antibody. (J:240097)
