• Mutation details: The transgene encodes the alpha and beta chains of a mouse T cell receptor (TCR) specific for the H2-D^b-restricted epitope of histocompatibilty Y (HYA, a.k.a. H-Y), WMHHNMDLI, derived from the ubiquitously transcribed tetratricopeptide repeat gene, Y chromosome (Uty). The recombined T cell receptor alpha (Tcra-V15-J16) and beta (Tcrb-V8.3-J1.1) variable region sequences of the MataHari CD8⁺ T cell clone were inserted into TCRalpha and TCRbeta shuttle vectors, which were then co-injected into fertilized mouse oocytes. The MataHari clone was derived from a B6.A-H2^ba H2-T18^a/Boy (a.k.a. C57BL/6-Tla^a) female mouse that had been immunized with spleen cells from a male mouse of the same strain. (J:183981)
